HISTORIC PROVENANCE
The Side Table Aswan is inspired by a monumental column that once surrounded an open courtyard in the Pharaoh Sahure’s pyramid temple. Quarried at Aswan and transported over 500 miles to the pyramid site of Abusir, the original is one of 16 columns that were made from a single block of granite. . Our side table is inspired by the timeless grandeur and artisanship of ancient Egyptian architecture.
